At JCA, we always aim high and our instructors are the same. This was taken quite literally recently as our new apprentices were put through their paces at Condover Hall’s high ropes training day.
Cadets on the ropes
Building upon the skill schools have the opportunity to develop on their own JCA adventure, our team of JCA cadets locked into their harnesses and loaded up the rope devices. Dissecting the challengers of a high rope course, the team was guided through each element of the activity. Taking on board safety procedures, key personal indicators to support students, and attainment levels were central to the successful completion of this process.
Safety assured
Working towards JCA’s stringent level of health and safety, instructors were tested against a set level of criteria. The apprentices responded positively to the training and approached tasks with a good focus.
Under the tutelage of our most experienced development managers, everything from abseiling, crate stacking, and high beams to Jacob’s ladder was covered to ensure the safety of every student who takes on our high ropes at any one of our JCA activity centres.
